Arizona Women’s Basketball offers two Texas athletes
Arizona’s recruiting coordinator, April Phillips, has been making the rounds in Texas this week, handing out at least two offers and visiting local high schools.
On Nov. 1, she was in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metro visiting the Lawrence Dale Bell H.S. Lady Raiders (Hurst, TX) for practice.
Major thanks to Coach Phillips from @ArizonaWBB for coming by practice yesterday afternoon! We appreciate the love! #agnb pic.twitter.com/CgG0b7bfEO— LD Bell Lady Raider Hoops (@LDBell_WBB) November 2, 2018
Tionna Heron- 2022, DeSoto (TX) H.S., post
The next day, 2022 recruit Tionna Heron out of DeSoto, TX announced that she had received an offer from Arizona.
Blessed to receive an offer from The University of Arizona WBB thank you @AdiaBarnes @ArizonaWBB pic.twitter.com/LJzriCaVcb— Tionna Herron (@TREEvibess) November 2, 2018
Heron already boasts offers from in-state power Texas, who offered her back in July. Throughout middle school, she was appearing at elite camps around the country and getting praise.
In March 2017, Girlz Prep Report had this to say about her:
Tionna Herron is 6’3, unlimited potential and she already gets it but she has good timing which enables her to altar [sic] and, or block shots and when you add good footwork and hands, she too has a very bright future.

Emani Jenkins – 2020, South Oak Cliff (TX) H.S, wing
More immediate help could come from Emani Jenkins of the South Oak Cliff in Dallas. Jenkins announced her offer from Arizona on Saturday.
I am blessed to have received an offer from @ArizonaWBB thank you so much for noticing me ❤️?❤️?❤️? pic.twitter.com/45AsEeksCb— emani jenkins (@maniotwup) November 3, 2018
The 6’1″ wing received offers from Texas Tech and Purdue last month. She’s listed as one of the top 20 players in the 2020 class from Texas by Up Next Prospects.
Premier Basketball Report had this to say about Emani back in May:

Emani Jenkins (ProSkills 17u EYBL) is a shot-maker with terrific size. As Jenkins continues to get comfortable this summer, watch for her to bust out in July.
